Friday Mocktail: Protein Mojito Smoothie

It’s been a long week, you’re stressed out from work, the kids, and everything else in your life. Nothing would make you happier than a nice tall adult beverage, right? We can relate! It’s been a hectic few days putting the finishing touches on our Holiday Preview for tomorrow afternoon!

But alcohol doesn’t really fit in our plan, and who wants to waste empty calories just to have a headache the next morning? Especially when you can have a scrumptious protein alternative and never even miss the booze!

Y’all know how we’re always thinking on these things! Protein White Russian, anyone? Nik got inspired to create a protein “Mojito Mocktail” for a recent Mexican Fiesta Pouch Party™, and it was a big hit with our Poucher Pals at Dr. Von Reuden’s office. (Side note: If you think your support group would like to party with us, hit us up and we can get the ball rolling!)

This is a tasty treat, and we know you’ll enjoy it, too! So mix yourself up one of these babies, kick back, prop up your feet, crank up some tunes, and picture yourself wasting away again in Margaritaville!

Nik’s Protein Mojito Smoothie

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Frozen Mixed Fruit
1 singles pack of Baja Bob’s SF Original Margarita Mix
1/2 cup water
1 scoop Any Whey Unflavored Protein (or one of the Nectar flavors would be good, too)
ice (optional)

Directions:

Add all the ingredients to your blender cup. Whiz it up in the blender. Taste it, add as much Splenda or other sweetener as you like, then whiz it one more time. This makes a “frozen margarita” type drink. If you prefer it thinner, you could add more water and thaw the fruit before you whiz it up. You may need to add more sweetener or Margarita mix to suit your taste if you go for the “on the rocks” version. Little pink umbrella is optional.
